  1. I read all of the reviews before buying this vacuum. All of the ratings were pretty high so I decided to give it a try. The vacuum does a great job of picking up dirt but every time my leg touched the attached hose on the back of the vacuum I got a static shock. It was quite annoying and painful. I noticed the dirt being picked up off of the floor was being transfered through the hose and into the container which created static in the hose. I wouldn’t reccommend this vacuum cleaner unless you enjoy static shocks. I am returning the vacuum cleaner to Lowes today.

  2. according to my experience this is no vacuum cleaner you would want for rugs. The time you spend avoiding to hit a rug directly and picking up/tilting the vacuum cleaner is not worth the effort. Even being really careful there is no way to have the belt not rip. It ought to do a good job on carpet, but I wouldn’t know.

  3. I can’t imagine a better vac for the money. There are only 2 things I don’t like – the suction is so great the hose won’t extend, and the bristles on the dusting attachment are far too short – 1/8th of an inch, instead of an inch, which would allow for better dusting.

It is really good at picking up dog hair and the attachments are convenient, but emptying the dirt cup is very cumbersom. Hair gets wrapped around the internal filter and has to be picked out by hand every time you vacuum. For the price, it’s worth it, if you don’t mind getting your hands dirty.

This thing is amazing (ok so I’ve used it only once, so I can’t comment on the durability, but out of the box, I love it!) Really easy to assemble, just need a screwdriver for the handle, and your in business.

First of all, I have a dog, who sheds a little bit, no big deal. However, my bf has a 1/2 chow 1/2 golden who, I swear, leaves half of her fur every time she’s at my apartment! My old vacuum would get clogged every 30 seconds, and I’d spend more time unclogging the hose, and emptying the bag than I would vacuuming. Because of the hassle of the other vacuum, it’s probably been 2 weeks since I last vacuumed (gross, and I feel bad for my roommate!).

So when I busted out this lean, mean, cleaning machine, there was some definite build up, but it did not clog once! And it was really impressive (and humbling) to see how much dog fur, and dirt it pulled up. And because there is no bag, emptying all the dirt and hair is no problem. No more sticking my fingers into the hose to try and unclog the nasty dirt, hair, and God knows what else stuck in there. Yay for clean carpets!

Also, I bought this from Amazon, and the shipping was very fast.
